Inactive PUTTY Session

      PuTTY connection becomes inactive

When you cannot type anything in your PuTTY window you’ll see (INACTIVE) in your PuTTY window. That means if you are Idle (No activity since some predefined time) It will become Inactive. You have to reconnect it again. This is Caused by dropping the network packets to the server. This is due to Protect the server against several redundant connections that could affect the Performance. Inorder to Prevent the server from dropping your PuTTY connection and making it inactive, PuTTY client must send packets to the server even when you are Idle. This can be overcome with small settings in your PuTTY as shown below.

Open Your Putty Window Go to PuTTY configuration --> Connection --> Seconds between keepalives (0 to turn off) [Give the time value here, it should not be greater than your idle time]

Then Go to Session save your session and open
